  • Overview

    The primary job responsibility of the data entry assistant is to enter all fish tickets and fisherman charges into our system quickly and with accuracy. Great attention to detail in a fast paced environment is a requirement.

    Responsibilities

    • Enter fish tickets into system in an accurate and timely manner.
    • Enter fisherman fuel and grocery charges into system in an accurate and timely manner.
    • Closely edit fish tickets and charges to ensure correct entry.
    • Works closely with Office Manager to ensure data is entered correctly and by set deadlines.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • 10 key proficient
    • Must have general computer knowledge and skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Must have the ability to operate under deadlines
    • Must be detail oriented
    • Must have problem solving skills
    • Must be willing and able to learn new tasks quickly
    • Must be able to switch roles at a moment’s notice in order to help with tasks beyond data entry.
    • Must have the ability to work in a high paced environment
    • Ability to perform multiple tasks with minimal supervision
    • Must have the ability to work well under pressure, 12 or more hours per day, 7 days per week
    • Must be willing to live and work in confined quarters
    • Must be reliable and prompt

    Working Conditions

    Work Schedule:

    • Ability to work in remote Alaska for approximately two months, Mid June-Mid August. Must be able to work 12 or more hours a day, 7 days a week in an intense fast paced environment.

     

    Work Environment:

    • The Naknek facility is a support office, on land, where no processing takes place. We do all data entry for Bristol Bay and provide fleet support, as well as support for our land plants and floating processors.
