The Payroll Assistant is primarily responsible for providing support to the payroll department. This position is responsible for assisting with the processing of payroll. At peak capacity, the payroll load includes as many as 3,500 employees, multiple, bi-weekly payrolls for both exempt and non-exempt employees in a multi-state environment. Assisting with the payroll process includes data entry, conducting reconciliations, preparing and organizing information for payroll, accounting, filing, stuffing checks, and ad hoc reporting. The Payroll Assistant role will be a full-time salary nonexempt position and reports to Payroll Supervisor.
