  • Overview

    Primary responsibility is to assist the Production and Vessel Manager with all areas of production and personnel on board.  Responsibilities include case-up, process, freezer crew, and clean up.  Position reports to Vessel Manager.


    • Oversee production to attain the most efficient, productive and cost effective operation.
    • Oversee the production of a quality product meeting Icicle standards.
    • Ensure safety of vessel personnel by overseeing the safe use of equipment and by maintaining an accident free workplace.
    • Supervise production workers on and off the line.
    • Prompt, reliable and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
    • Able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
    • Other related duties as assigned.


    • Applicants should be ambitious with a strong interest in the seafood industry.
    • Minimum of one year’s experience in seafood processing preferred.
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
    • Able to work well under pressure, 12 or more hours a day, 7 days a week.
    • Must be able to live and work in confined quarters.
    • Must be conscientious about seafood quality and good manufacturing practices

    Working Conditions

    Must be able to work 7 days a week, 12-16 hours a day in wet, cold conditions. There are areas within the plant that contain moving and loud machinery, and hearing protection and other safety and protective equipment is required.
